A plan is a list of actions arranged in whatever sequence is thought likely to achieve an objective. Project Planing belongs to the whole plan of all major tasks, estimates the time and resources necessary to complete them, and provides a framework for management review and control. Its may be an important document which have a well defined roadmap to follow the right track. Several iterations of the planning process may be performed before the Project Plan is completed.

project management plan is also a kind of project for that day so some points should be covered while making a project plan like

  • We should Identify all of the phases, activities, tasks and Create a documentation of detailed project planning schedule.

  • Define the project scope, milestones and Set the target delivery dates with identifying the project inter-dependencies.

  • Tracking, execution and controll management of project should be done in the project planing.

  • Estimation of resources are require to perform each task so establish a budget for performing the tasks.

  • Define the process that will be used ensure product quality (e.g., reviews, walk-throughs, inspections, or independent.

you have any kind of suggestion on Project Planing then please write your comments. It will helps me to understand it well.

Thanks

Hi Gourav, I agree with George, you have good knowledge about Project Management.

Project Planning is the most important phase of Project Management. Successful completion of any project strongly depends upon the planning. The Project Planning acts like a road map for everyone which includes the tasks, deadlines, number of resources, delivery dates and the approach to be followed by everyone. The Project Plan also indicates the performance, status of the project and warns you of any problematic areas beforehand.

I believe that the successful completion of any project depends upon its project planning and healthy interaction between everyone who are actively involved with the project right from the client to the project manager and the project manager to all the team members. When people are on the same page with strong communication then the chances of discrepancies become less which further helps in successful completion.

Unless you copied that from a book, it sounds like you are well versed in the field. We are trying to create a collaborative class for PM and you would be most welcome to participate at ANY level you wish.

Here is the link www.pm4esl.blogspot.com
where PM = Project Management
4 = for
esl = 1 English as second language or
2 Extremely special leaders or
3 Extra slow learners (my category;-)
